CFP : Biomedical Image Processing & Analysis Track
http://www.bibe2008.org/index.htm IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Bioengineering' 2008 Athens, Greece, October 8-10, 2008. The annual IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Bioengineering aims at building synergy between Bioinformatics and Bioengineering, two complementary disciplines that hold great promise for the advancement of research and development in complex medical and biological systems, agriculture, environment, public health, drug design. Research and development in these two areas are impacting the science and technology in fields such as medicine, food production, forensics, etc., by helping us understand living organisms at multiple levels, by developing innovative implants and bio-prosthetics, and by improving tools and techniques for the detection, prevention and treatment of diseases. The BIBE series provides a common platform for the cross fertilization of ideas, and for shaping knowledge and scientific achievements by bridging these two very important and complementary disciplines into an interactive and attractive forum. This year's BIBE will be held in Athens, Greece, October 8-10, 2008. Athens, the capital and largest city in Greece, is one of the world’s oldest cities and a popular destination due to its huge recorded history and cultural heritage. We would like to invite authors to submit cutting edge research work in the field of biomedical image analysis, in one of the following areas (this is not an exhaustive list): - segmentation - registration, motion analysis - statistical modeling of variations - image processing techniques for computer aided diagnosis - image processing techniques for intervention and surgical procedures - image processing and emerging image modalities, -... Selected papers from the event, might appear in a special issue of a a journal in the field. - Deadline for paper submission : 05/07/2008 - Author's instructions for submission: http://www.bibe2008.org/author_instructions.htm - Notification of acceptance: July 30, 2008 (tentative) - Camera ready paper: August 15, 2008 -- Nikos Paragios http://vision.mas.ecp.fr |
