APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR A CARNEGIE-MELLON UNIVERSITY/IST
DUAL DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING

Carnegie Mellon University and the Portuguese Government established a
partnership, named as CMU-Portugal Program, with the objective of creating
in Portugal first rate, internationally recognized, education and research
programs

Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST) (http://www.ist.utl.pt), in Lisbon, is
involved in this program through a comprehensive research and educational
initiative, which integrates a Dual CMU/IST PhD degree in Electrical and
Computer Engineering. Upon completion, graduates will be awarded a degree
both from CMU and IST. Students will be co-advised and will spend 
extended periods of time in both institutions.

This program is focused on Networked Sensors, Communication, and Decision
Systems which include image/vision related research within applications in
video surveillance, robot navigation or object tracking and recognition

Applications are now open  and grants available
