PhD scholarships in mathematics, Barcelona, SPAIN


The Barcelona Graduate School of Mathematics announces the first call of 
PhD scholarships to develop a doctorate in Mathematics in one of its 
research groups starting in Fall 2013.

The scholarship is for one year extendible to three years with a gross
salary of 14400E (first year) and 15600E (next two years) plus travel
allowances.

Candidates should have obtained (or be about to obtain) a Diploma or
M.Sc. degree in mathematics or closely related fields with results
signicantly above average, and intend to  to work for a Ph.D. degree
with a research groups of the BGSMath.

Applications should provide

* curriculum vitae
* Diplom/master' thesis and relevant publications, if available.
* Statement of purpose sketching the applicant research interests and
the name of the tentative advisor.
* two letters of recommendation (sent directly to us)
