 Assistant Professor in the History of Philosophy

 The University of Waterloo, Department Of Philosophy is accepting 
applications for a tenure track position in the History of P hilosophy at 
the rank of Assistant Professo r . The Department is especially interested 
in candidates whose research is in the history and philosophy of science, 
broadly construed ( incl ud ing technology and mathematics). The 
Department also has undergraduate teaching needs in ancient philosophy. 
The successful candidate will have a completed PhD in Philosophy by the 
time of appointment, some teaching experience, and evidence of an actively 
developing research program . The position will commence on July 1, 2014. 
Duties include research, undergrad uate and graduate te aching and 
graduate supervision, and service. Closing date for applications is Nov. 
20, 2013. Applications should be submitted through the University??s Job

ations should include a cover letter, research plan and teaching 
statement; a curriculum vitae ; a writing sample ; and three confidential
