Computer Vision Internship Opportunities at IBM Research

Duration: 3 months or more
 
We are looking for self-motivated students with strong background and hands-on experience in computer vision to research and develop video analytics algorithms for the IBM Smart Surveillance Solution. The student will be working in challenging vision problems with particular emphasis in one or more of the following topics:
 
-          advanced object detection and classification
-          object tracking
-          color processing for visual search.
 
More information about the IBM Smart Surveillance Solution can be found at http://www.research.ibm.com/s3. The openings are effective immediately, with a three-month minimum duration. IBM provides a flexible schedule with a nice working environment. Salary is competitive with industry. We would like to hear from interested candidates as soon as possible.
 
Requirements:
 
-          Strong programming skills in C/C++
-          Hands-on experience and understanding of state-of-art computer vision research, preferably in the areas of object detection and classification, tracking, and color processing.
-          PhD students will have preference, but MSc students will be considered as well.
