Open position: Computer Vision researcher for Augmented Reality use
Hi all, There is a permanent, full-time position open as a Computer Vision researcher for Augmented Reality available from January 2007. A more detailed description is available at http://www.armusement.com/Position.pdf. ARMUSEMENT is a newly established company focusing on Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Today we have 3 man-years employed, and we expect rapid expansion in 2007. The company is on the edge of the technology development based on internal research and adoption of the latest academic research results within the area. ARMUSEMENT has close cooperation with one of the leading European universities, and will become the first or one of the first companies in the world that delivers a commercial permanent AR attraction when the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History opens their main attraction in June 2007. The attraction features “real AR” with head mounted displays and natural features tracking, enabling 10 visitors to enjoy the show simultaneously. The delivery is part of a research project supported by the Norwegian state (Innovation Norway). Our first focus is on the attraction industry, but in the future the technology will be developed for other industries like oil/offshore, architecture, teaching and other. The company is located in Kristiansand, the southern part of Norway. We are looking for motivated and skilled researchers with a master- or PhD degree from computer vision. The position will focus on research and continued development of our technology platform ARENGINE (TM), including development of projects for our customers.
