SGAI announces 'Real AI Day', December 15th 2011, Cambridge http://www.bcs-sgai.org/realai2011 A special one-day event showcasing Practical Applications of Artificial Intelligence: December 15th 2011, Peterhouse College, Cambridge. The British Computer Society Specialist Group on Artificial Intelligence (SGAI) has announced the third in a new series of one- day 'SGAI Real Artificial Intelligence days', with a strong practical focus aimed at business and industry. This follows the very successful 'Real AI' days in December 2009 and 2010. The event will feature talks from leading exponents and case studies outlining practical applications of AI from a wide range of application domains. Topics are wide ranging and include Data Mining: a View From the Trenches, AI as a Knowledge Management Approach, Writing a Great EU Funding Proposal, Using Data Mining Techniques to Improve Efficiency in Police Intelligence and AI for Service Production Management. The third 'Real AI Day' will take place on Thursday 15th December 2011, at Peterhouse College, Cambridge. Plenty of time has been allowed in the programme for discussion and networking with AI practitioners from business, industry and academia.
