PhD Fellowship in Image and Video analysis in the Image Research Group, Madrid, SPAIN

The Image Processing Group of the Universidad Politcnica de Madrid --
SPAIN -- (www.gti.ssr.upm.es ) offers a PhD 
Fellowship for research in the area of efficient image and video 
analysis algorithms. The work will involve development of algorithms 
for object detection and tracking in complex environments observed by 
networked smart-cameras. Potential fields of application are video 
surveillance and driver assistance video-based systems. This research 
will be carried out in the framework of National Funded Project called SMART-VISION.

*Fellowship details:*

 Deadline for submission: March 8th, 2008.
 Duration: 4 years.
 Annual Salary:  btw 14400 and 21000 depending on the researcher's background and experience
 Scope: develop a PhD Thesis in the framework of the SMART-VISION project. 
. Requirements: PhD studies require attending courses during the first year.
 Location: Image Processing Group, Signals, Systems and 
Radiocomunications Department, E.T.S.I. Telecomunicacin, Universidad 
Politcnica de Madrid.
