Research Position Opportunities in Medical Imaging within Philips Paris


Permanent Research Positions within Philips Healthcare Research Paris (MediSys Group)
 
Our Research Group (about 30 researchers) is located in Suresnes at a short distance from central Paris. We are part of Philips Healthcare a leading actor in medical imaging. We play an active role within Philips innovative chain for the different medical imaging modalities (X-Ray, Ultrasound, MRI, CT, and Nuclear Medicine).
 
Our main goal is to provide algorithmic solutions and clinical prototypes for diagnosis and image guided interventions improvement.
 
We offer research opportunities for creating and developing innovative algorithmic approaches for various medical image processing and analysis applications. Computational efficiency of the algorithmic solutions is among the important objectives in particular when real time applications are aimed for. The work will be led in interaction with different teams of the MediSys group and will benefit from their solid experience.
 
In addition to strong scientific, technical and creativity competencies, the positions require good communication skills. Indeed, the work will be led in collaboration with pre-development and development groups of Philips Healthcare, located in the Netherlands, the USA and Israel. It will need frequent interactions with clinical sites in France or abroad selected for evaluation and testing. The understanding of clinical needs and practices is essential.
 
The candidate must have a sound engineering education and an experience in Image Processing:
-        Typically French Engineering school graduate (Polytechnique, Centrale, Supélec, Télécom, ENPC, or similar). A PhD degree in such a subject would be considered as advantageous.
-        Or University graduate with a PhD.
-        One of the positions proposed requires a solid academic and/or industrial experience in medical image processing.
 
He/She must show programming skills (C, C++,…).
He/She must be fluent in English.
