Postdoctoral Position at the Iowa Institute of Biomedical Imaging, University of Iowa IN QUANTITATIVE STRUCTURAL AND BIOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS OF TRABECULAR BONE IMAGING The Iowa Institute of Biomedical Imaging is seeking a talented postdoctoral fellow in the area of quantitative structural and biomechanical analysis of trabecular to develop image-based methods to aid the early detection of changes in bone quality due to either disease progression or therapeutic treatment. This trabecular bone imaging is a multi-disciplinary effort with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Columbia University and The Berkeley Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratory, UC Berkley. The goal is . to combine the the rich knowledge and experience of mechanical and and computational method for bone biomechanic of the above two universities with our images-based quantitative bone structural analysis methods. The applicant must have 1) a Ph.D. in computing science, biophysics, bioengineering or related field within the last four years; 2) Expertise with C programming, MatLab, linear systems, and advanced knowledge in image analysis techniques, 3) A demonstrated ability to conduct independent research as documented by a publication record.
