CALL FOR PAPERS: SCAI 2013 Doctoral Symposium-The 12th Scandinavian AI conference, Nov 20, 2013, Aalborg, DENMARK

SCAI 2013, the 12th Scandinavian Conference on Artificial
Intelligence, invites PhD students to
submit extended abstracts on their doctoral research. The Symposium
provides an opportunity for
PhD students to present, discuss and explore their research interests
and career objectives with
their peers and with a panel of senior researchers.

The symposium will constitute a special session of the SCAI conference
event, where students of
accepted abstracts will be invited to give a presentation in front of
a group of peers and a small
panel of established AI researchers who can provide constructive feedback.

Students are invited to submit a 4-page extended abstract of their
on-going research from all areas
of Artificial Intelligence. Submissions should have emphasis on work
in progress, with directions for
future research clearly indicated. It should be clearly stated what is
the problem being addressed,
the current research plan and the progress so far. The symposium is
open to students at any stage
of their PhD studies, but we expect that applicants with one year or
more of research work
will benefit the most from the event.

Accepted abstracts will be selected based on clarity of the submission, stage of
research, and evidence of promise such as published papers or technical reports.
The accepted student abstracts will be included in the SCAI 2013
proceedings published by IOS Press.

All students attending SCAI are encouraged to attend and participate
in the Symposium.
The critiques of the faculty panel are expected to be beneficial to
the whole student audience.
