Internship at MirriAd: Image Processing - Computer Vision

MirriAd internship job description
Image Processing - Computer Vision - C/C++ programming

Mirriad is a new start-up company that offers in-video embedded advertising solutions. At the interface between content producers and advertisers, we develop software tools to insert brands in music videos and films in a realistic manner. Those tools rely on Computer Vision algorithms that aim at making the process as automatic as possible. We design and implement those algorithms and work on their acceleration using GPGPU programming and alternative hardware solutions.

The following algorithms are of special interest to us over the next few months:
    - Locating the mask for the image (any black bars surrounding the image)
    - Scene/Cut detection - Detection of interlaced format and determination the field order, including 3:2 pulldown format
    - Detection and tracking of moving objects
    - Object segmentation
You will be joining our R&D team composed of Computer Vision research engineers.
What we expect from you: - Good C/C++ skills. GPU and/or parallel programming knowledge a plus - Background in Image Processing/Computer Vision highly desirable
    - Background in Statistics/Pattern Recognition recommended
    - Fluent English
