Overview
========
The eighth Asian Conference on Computer Vision will be held at the
Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo, Japan, from
November 18 to 22, 2007. The topics of interest include, but are not
restricted to, the following:

     * Image and video search
     * Learning and statistical methods
     * Low-level vision
     * Object recognition
     * Perceptual interfaces
     * Physics-based vision
     * Segmentation and grouping
     * Sensors and real-time/active vision
     * Shape representation
     * Stereo and motion
     * Range data analysis
     * Vision for graphics
     * Vision systems

Papers in the main technical program must describe original research. To
encourage high quality submissions, various paper prizes will be awarded
at the conference. The award-winning papers will be selected to appear
in a future special issue of the International Journal of Computer Vision.

The conference also includes Tutorials and Workshops; please submit
proposals to the appropriate chair.

The conference proceedings will be published by Springer in the Lecture
Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.

Author(s) should submit full papers electronically in the Springer LNCS
format. The page limit is 10 pages.
