This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to gain valuable work experience with one of the top 12 e-commerce providers in the UK to facilitate business intelligence, using data mining technology, E-commerce software technology and product development.

This 2 year post has been created as a result of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Web Marketplace Solutions Ltd and the University of Hull, Department of Computer Science. The successful applicant will work closely with the company's directors and senior management team plus University academic staff to introduce business intelligence into the company's Online Trading Architecture. This will involve the investigation and development of marketing strategies using data mining to provide a business intelligence decision support tool. The Associate will build the following skills and management competencies during the programme;
 In-depth understanding of data mining methodologies and techniques, with a specific knowledge of the issues associated in applying them in the project domain.
 Understanding of decision support applied to E-commerce
 E-business perspective on the understanding of applied artificial intelligence
 Project management and improved team-working, communication, planning and management skills.
