AI-2007 offers the perfect opportunity for you to update your knowledge of current AI developments and applications, and to meet with leading AI practitioners in a relaxed social environment. This year's conference brings technical papers on the latest developments in AI, presentations from industry practitioners with practical experience of applying AI in the real world, and a range of workshops - ideal for those seeking to expand and deepen their knowledge of a wide range of AI techniques. All this in the historic surroundings of Peterhouse, Cambridge's oldest college.

The BCS SGAI is pleased at announce that:

WORKSHOPS (10th December)

There is a preliminary day (Monday December 10th) devoted to half-day workshops on:

- Type-2 Fuzzy Logic and the Modelling of Uncertainty

- Serious Games

- Artificial Intelligence in Education

- Intelligent Systems in Accounting, Finance and Management

together with the 12th UK CBR Workshop (full day).

This day is included for FREE for attendees of the main conference, but can be attended on its own at a special rate.


The main 2-day conference (Tuesday December 11th - Wednesday December 12th) includes:

- Keynote lecture:

Prof. Barry Smyth, University College Dublin on Personalizing Web Search

- Technical stream papers on Constraint Satisfaction, AI Techniques, Machine Learning, Multi-Agent Systems, Data Mining, and Knowledge Acquisition and Management.

- Application stream papers on Medical Systems; HCI and Natural Language Systems: Imaging and Sensing Systems; Decision Support Systems; Autonomous Machines; and Industrial Systems.

- Industry Presentations: the Application Stream will include presentations and case- studies by industry practitioners, offering insights into the practical issues that are faced when implementing and deploying AI based systems.

- Poster sessions on emerging research and applications in intelligent systems.

- The sixth annual BCS prize competition (sponsored by Electrolux) for the best live demonstration of Progress Towards Machine Intelligence.

This year's conference will be held at Peterhouse College in Cambridge. In addition to the formal sessions, the conference programme includes a welcome reception and a Gala Dinner. Plenty of time has been inserted into the programme to allow discussions with other delegates and time to make new contacts and renew old acquaintances.

AI-2007 offers a valuable opportunity to keep up to date with developments in AI and to share experiences in the practical issues of developing AI based systems.
