Medical Image Understanding and Analysis 2008 FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS www. miua.org.uk University of Dundee, July 2nd & 3rd Chairs: Stephen McKenna and Jesse Hoey SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 14 MARCH, 2008 MIUA 2008 is the 12th in a series of annual meetings. MIUA is the principal UK forum for communicating research progress in image analysis applied to medicine and the biological sciences. This is an area notable for the range of research communities involved, and the meeting aims to encourage the growth and raise the profile of this multi-disciplinary field by bringing together these various communities. Contributions from outside the UK are also welcome and encouraged. The scope of the meeting extends from analysis of medical and biological images to imaging physics and clinical studies. CONTRIBUTIONS SOUGHT: · Technical papers (5 pages) are solicited on any topic within the scope of the conference. Each paper will be evaluated by three reviewers. · Challenge abstracts (1 page) are also solicited. These should outline a challenge to the image analysis community from a clinical or end-user perspective.
